Bridget comes to the Bay Area from Cincinnati, Ohio where she lived while completing her PhD in Composition & Rhetoric at Miami University. During her time there, Bridget was an assistant director of the Howe Writing Initiative, a co-director of the first-year composition program, and she taught courses in the undergraduate professional writing major and the graduate program in English. Her research interests are in writing pedagogy and digital and feminists rhetorics, particularly social media cultures. Her work has appeared in The Writing Center JournalEnculturationPresent Tense, and is forthcoming in Computers and Composition Online. She loves movies, cooking, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their three dogs who saw the ocean for the first time upon arriving in San Francisco (and were terrified of it).
