Crystal Wong

I grew up in San Francisco and graduated with multiple degrees: B.A. in Music, B.A. in Liberal Studies, M.A. in English, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.  I also have a CA Teaching Credential. Once upon a time, I was a K-5 music, literacy, and classroom teacher.  Now I am an author, a writing teacher, and a busy mom. In my classes, I focus on helping students find their personal and academic voice; I empower students by creating an environment that is open, welcoming, and accessible; I engage students with choice, multimodal, and meaningful assignments.
