Hello, my name is Alyssa and I am double alumnus at San Francisco State in Child and Adolescent Development and Education. I have been writing literature since my early childhood and was given the "good expressive writer" in grade school for my creative writing. I have always interacted with the world in rather restrictive, stereotyped or "computational" patterns, while I retain an inner world that is rich in flexibility and language artistry. My aptitude in language and literature shines best in my research papers, poetry, graphic short stories, and presentations. I have a few "party tricks" that make me interesting and sometimes puzzling to others as I have been described in many conversations "arguing with a dictionary," "conversing with an encyclopedia" and presenting excellent informational presentations with in a "way with words."  In my spare time, I have written my first graphic short story about my experience as a black American and Autistic woman called "the Lemon Tree" as well as several related poems. I also enjoy cataloguing classic literature books and analyzing texts for distinct patterns. I create original work through diverse art forms such as storyboarding, digital painting, UX/ UI design, photography, and yarn.
