Celeste Colaric-Gonzalez
( She/Her/Hers )Hello! My name is Celeste Colarič-Gonzales, and I am a writer/artist/mother/educator/editor living in Oakland, CA on unceded Chochenyo Ohlone land. I earned my BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing (minor in Comparative and World Literature) here at SFSU, and am currently an MFA candidate, completing teaching certificates in composition and post secondary reading. In past lives, I’ve been an instructional aid, tutor, and unconventional student. I believe in doing language; that it is an essential act with the power to enable human connection, incite change, embody healing, and empower social justice. I care deeply about affirming students holistically, and walking with them along whatever path of lifelong learning they choose. Say hi at celestea@mail.sfsu.edu, and find my words+ in Isele, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, Blood Orange Review, NELLE, The Ana, Corporeal, Cosmic Daffodil,Woodcrest, and Transfer Magazine.
