Laird Harrison

Laird Harrison (he/him) brings a variety of experiences and a lot of passion to teaching composition. He began his career as a journalist, and wrote thousands of articles for scores of newspapers, magazines, radio stations and web sites, including TIME magazine, Reuters, KQED and the San Francisco Chronicle. He served as an editor at WebMD. More recently, he returned to his love of creative writing, earning an MFA from SFSU and publishing a novel, Fallen Lake, as well as poetry and short fiction.  Previously he has taught at UC Berkeley Extension and the Writers Grotto as well as in both the Creative Writing and Journalism departments at SFSU.
